If you were not going with finned covers, yes I recommend it, the fitment is perfect with the OEM cover. But with finned, Im not so sure.

Man, what a sh1t show. Nice work on making something functional Rusty. I've had my Royalty Performance diff brace sitting in a box, has anyone had clearance issues with that?

So after researching more the Bell Brace that Z1 sells will fit the stock or Z1 finned/Nismo finned covers, however if you have a FI or Motordyne exhaust it will not work due to the exhaust piping being in the way, thus requiring modification as illustrated by Rusty.

I was gonna go with RP brace. But they cut out so much material from the brace. I kinda like how the BR brace (oem cover) has 2 mounting points on the subframe to distribute the load.

My Bell Raceworks diff brace fit perfectly on my factory set-up, but after waiting through weeks of excuses from this guy and no indication it would ever be sent, it required having to threaten him with local business licensing authority intervention to get his attention! Heard from others who experienced the same issue.

I'm guessing that will have clearance issue with the Motordyne exhaust.... I'm trying to find a diff brace that will have no issues with the Motodyne Exhaust |

Only way I know of is to get the Bells and have it modified the way Rusty did his. You may want to check him. He was offering to do the mod for some members at one time. Not sure what he was charging. Shoot him a PM

Finally got the OEM diff housing style brace installed - fits fine for me. That being said, I am stock diff cover and also stock exhaust. I also have poly diff bushings and subframe collars on, so the difference in feel might be minimal.

Alright reading through this has been a damn nightmare
I have: OEM diff + OEM bushings Which variant do I need? - the one z1 sells - the one bell sellers - royal performance - give rusty money The z1 cover seems like a waste of money and effort; when I get a diff I should Go straight to ma Motorsports

It depending on what cbe you have, and how tight it is to the diff. The brace that fits the Z1 cover has to be notched if you have a cbe like FI that fit tight to the diff. If you pipe is about 2" away form the diff. Then the brace does need notched. The Z1 cover give you about an extra 1/2 liter of lube in the diff. The diff does run a bit warm. I've recorded temps has high as 265F. If you are going to run a diff cooler. Then the Z1 cover really wouldn't be needed. Between the Z1 cover and the MAM diff cooler. The system now takes 3 liters of lube. I'm in the process of doing a diff brace mod for another member now. Makes #6. I haven't charged anyone yet.
