"Why doesn't my $30k car handle/brake like this $40-60k car" All he 370 is, is a entry level, low budget fun toy for people that can't afford anything better.

I was specifically talking about the STi if you pulled your head out of your rear. So tired of people thinking they are the same class of car, they aren't.

Have you even thought about how the tires or even gear selection have to do w/ your braking? Probably not. And if you feel the need to slam the crap out of your brakes to the point where they "aren't good enough for your royal lead foot" then maybe you shouldn't have your license. This is, after all, a street car. The stock pads are fine for daily driving if you don't drive like an idiot, it wasn't made to go drifting and racing around the streets in stop and go traffic like fanboys want it to.

Seriously, are people really this stupid? I guess so...

funny, the Elise and 993 had less of tire than the Z has. the 993 is also 1995 technology and still feels better to me. I don't think it's a matter of cost of the car, it's just brembo's, which are found on many cars in the Z price range. as for the Elise, that's a budget sports car like the Z but with a slightly higher price tag. come on, it's a celica drivetrain! I was also not saying the Z HAS TO perform the same as these cars, I said those cars felt better to me. overall I think the Z is amazing, especially for the price, but it just seems to be a little underwhelming in this area. and if you're talking about "street car" and "good enough for daily driving" then why do any of us need 335HP, 19" forged wheels, LSD, tricked out suspension, etc?

FYI...check your MSRP's, the Z is a $40k car.

well, thanks for all your indepth analysis of braking. it's proved to be a real asset to the forum. I'm off to go drifting now.
