Fender gap for daily driving
Calling all fitment gurus. I just installed my KW V3’s and rear adjustable camber arms yesterday and made an appointment to have my wheel alignment and four corner balance done on Monday. I spoke to the tech who will be doing it and he said that he needed to know specifically how much I want to have the car lowered. So my question is, how low did everyone set their coils to (either in terms of inches of wheel gap to distance from the ground to fender). I wanted to get rid of some of the fender gap, but still keep it streetable. Would anyone mind sharing some pictures and maybe measuring their ride high out? Thanks all!

that's a good question, I can go down and measure, but the shop I had do it, said what do I want it to look like and I said not real low and not too high and they seem to have gotten it right. where do you want the measurement taken from

Oh wow that looks great! Really anywhere. I mentioned the tire gap and ground to the fender when I talked to him! It’s fun to said something super similar but he said that he needs specifics because he didn’t want to corner balance the car and then I not like the height of it. Oh well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Oh one Thing I didn’t mention originally, I do have 20mm spacers all around. Not sure that it will make a huge difference but just in case

not sure about spacers, since I do not have spacers
my tires are front - 265/35/19 rear - 295/30/19 I did go out and tried to measure (it was worth a good laugh) Wheels are basically at the bottom of the outside fender. really could not get a good measurement or even tell you where to measure was from. The rear tires were just a bit higher than the back. Also this my DD, the only time I have problems are speed humps and some scrapping on inclines / driveways... overall I am pleased with it. I have KW V1 on the car Hope it helps... let me know, I get take some close up pics after work... I |

Loving the replies! I think kw recommends measuring from the center of the hub to the top of the fender!

Yeah that was the next step. I noticed the tabs get in the way a bit, especially with the spacers. Not a huge fan of them. Always seemed like an afterthought to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Take two fingers put them together and that’s about the size of a gap on my Z with swift springs. Gives the car a low aggressive stance but still daily friendly. But if you have baseball mitts for hands then consider using one finger only.
