Leaking bushings??
Today I got under my 370Z to do an oil change on it and I was looking under the differential and I seen wet differential fluid dripping down my differential and it turns out my differential bushings failed and are leaking differential fluid. :shakes head: What are the best brand poly urethane differential bushings for our 370z’s that you recommend installing? What other liquid filled bushings are there on our 370z’s that are commonly known to fail? What other bushings should I replace while I am in there?

The whiteline differential kit is pretty popular.

The only other liquid filled bushings are the front lower control arm. The rear bushing. They don't often fail. Some pictures in my SPL thread.

^ I think this will help thanks .

Common problem. I used Whiteline bushing kit.
Z1 has a bushing kits and a bushing tool too. Most people use a sawzall. |
on a '17 I would do Z1 subframe bushing collars while you have the rear apart. At that point it is a 20 min job

I just had the Whiteline poly urethane differential bushings installed on my Z they were a somewhat tighter fit but we will see how they do.

This might be an option...

Mine did leak toward the driver side where the axle meets the differential. At that time I fixed it under warranty. But now I still feel like my diff is not working right as the car wiggles when the road surface changes ever slightly. It could be because i'm running r888 at the back and Cup 2 upfront.
Let me know if you feel the tail-wiggling symptoms. |
Too many differential bushings available at a low enough price,,,to even consider half azzin’
& squeezing silicone/glue into a rotted rubber cavaty. Almost be like removing differential drain & fill plugs...then pumping grease in diff from bottom until it escapes from ck. port??? If you don’t have proper tools/skills,,,I’m sure there are members on forum who would lend a hand to perform proper fix. |
