You got to realize that it is metal on metal and that will cause some squeaking. I spray my fittings down with lithium grease and that keeps the noise to a minimum!

Seems like you could add a thin film of teflon or other slick plastic to get rid of the squeeking.

Anti seize is your friend

SPL is now shipping 4 pieces of rubber with the bushings to install between the bushing and body to stop the squeaking, and transfer of noise if you want to.

For sure. I have that exact bottle on the shelf and it gets like everywhere.

So I went ahead and got the collars. Only $150 and supposedly not to big of a job to drop them in. You guys with them experience any squeaking? I'm debating on whether to grease them up or not.

I put these in last week. No squeaking so far, noticeable improvement in rigidity. I'd never dropped the rear sub-frame, so it was a bit of a learning curve, but if you already know how to do that, it's probably a 30 minute job. Took me more like 2 hours, most of which was me staring blankly at the underside of my car ;) The bushing collars go in pretty easily.

Know that feeling. Staring at it and wondering if I REALLY want to do this. :rofl2:

Z1 Collar Bushing video (5 minute video).

Video is fine, but not helpful for doing the actual work, besides giving you a general idea of what you'll be working on.
