What Spring Rates

Hey guys, another coilover question from me. I tried searching but didn't quite find the exact question I'm looking for. I'm down to choosing a couple coilovers and they have different spring rates and just don't really know what to pick.

I'm seeing Tein Flex Z, made in Japan, adjustable height and dampers, they have 12/10k front rear spring rates

BCs have 10/8k rates.

So basically I'm worried about the Tein's being way too stiff for normal driving and then the BC's have a good front rate, but the rear is actually ever so marginally softer than stock, which that concerns me

What I want from a suspension kit is just a slight drop, an inch tops, but more so I want to help the cars handling with flatter cornering, increasing front end response and grip and limit the somewhat floaty feeling the car has now through faster corners on my backroads. I'd like a more predictive rear end as well, which i feel now has a lot of vertical motion and bounce. Lots of squat and dive under accel/decel.

So would either be fine? Or is one preferred just off the rates alone? I don't want to break my back, but also don't want the floaty softer rates either, which is just bugging me with the BC rear rates.
