Ran over tire - power steering cut off

1 Attachment(s)
Hi Guys,
I was driving to work today, when I ran over this tire tread (looked like a truck tire). Thankfully, no body work required. However, My power steering cut off. I could feel it stiffen up at freeway speeds but when I slowed down, thats when it really stopped working. I noticed theres a broken "connector" under the car, near the rack and pinion area. I am attaching a picture for reference. Any idea if I can just reconnect it, or where I can get a replacement connector?

If it will plug back in, try it. If things start working again, inspect the connectors and make sure everything is water-tight.

The FSM (link in my sig) will help you identify what the wiring is for. My first guess would be that it's a wheel speed sensor.

Thank you! Will check out the FSM. Seems like it works fine on anything over 20mph but dies down at the bottom end. I will try connecting it.

Trace the wires. See if they go to the rack and pinion. If they do, that's your problem.
