Brakenetic GT Series rotors
I'll probably get blasted for buying cheap eBay rotors, but I don't mind being the guinea pig. Besides, there seems to be two trains of thought: 1) Most rotors are essentially from the same blanks; just machined differently 2) Buying anything less than top shelf will kill you.
Without further ado, I present my new Brakenetic GT Series rotors: Not much in the way of weight savings, with the fronts weighing ~30 lbs and the rears weighing ~19 lbs. I'll get these installed sometime this weekend hopefully. I don't have any experience with aftermarket rotors, so I wouldn't know a quality slotted rotor if it bit me. If anybody wants info, more pictures, whatever, just let me know. |

Posts in other forums say Brakenetics uses Centric rotors, then slot/drill as needed.

They'll be fine for street driving.

I'll be trying these out on the track. I wouldn't be the guinea pig if I just cruised around town with them! |

I saw them on ebay for a little less than $500... sounds like I need to get into the brake rotor business if all I need to do is machine some slots into some generic blanks.

The sports brake package rotor blanks are typically $59 apiece at the stores around here.

For a daily, i don't know why you aren't using auto parts store rotors.
Those "slots" aren't doing anything for you on the way to the grocery store hell for a dual purpose car I'd be running all-season tires, OEM level pads, autoparts rotors, and swapping in some 2 pc rotors, aggressive pads and tires when i actually need to go fast. No sense burning up the good stuff in traffic
