Diagnosing noise and pulsing...bad wheel bearing?

2010 40th anniversary with 122k miles, all mine. Thought I had a rotor/pad issue but apparently not since I just replaced all and rebuilt the calipers. Steering wheel shaking at higher speeds when braking (80mph). Can feel pulsing in brake pedal but it’s much less pronounced now. At lower speed when braking (15-20mph) lightly I can feel the light pulsing and hear a slight pulsing grind. Can also hear it when coasting at that speed without braking but it’s so damn faint. Think maybe it has more “road noise/humming” than I remember and it seems like it’s coming from the right rear but who freakin knows. Checked the differential for leaks and found none. Thoughts?

If it is the hub I’m thinking of doing all 4 and going with Timken or Beck/Arnley and would appreciate feedback on that too.

First thing I'd try is bedding the brakes.

It's time for front wheel bearings at least.
Wore mine out in 70k miles + track time.

It sounded like i was supercharged there for a while!

But with that many miles... it may be time.

:iagree:

I bought Timken & Beck/Arnley off of Amazon. Here are the part numbers:

Beck/Arnley: 051-6342 $92.78 each (front) https://www.amazon.com/Beck-Arnley-0...words=051-6342
Timken: HA590255 $93.78 each (rear) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...f_rd_i=desktop

I'm not sure 2 day Prime shipping will be available, but that is the best price I've found. I used these to replace all four wheel bearings on my Z after I had my encounter with the possum and slid sideways off the road. Great fit.
