I'd be a little sketchy on putting miles on those tires.. unless it does come out to be an optical illusion, and a weird angle on the pic. Just look at the tire patch from the rear, if it seems like it's going to weigh heavily on the inside, it definitely will. Don't wait the 5,000 miles it will take to burn through those tires meant to last 60k.. |

At the risk of being repetitive. I have to chime in as well and say that looks like to much neg camber. My 350Z was something close to -1.8 on drivers side and it accelerated the inside tire wear - so much that the steel belt was showing before i pulled the tires to do a periodic inspection.
Always request the before and after alignment report prior to getting the alignment done. This will help set the expectation for a good alignment and ensure that service manager BS will stay at a minimum if its your first time dealing with the shop.

Thanks guys. I'm at the shop right now, and I've asked for them to give me the readout of the specs. Lets see what they come back with. I wonder why the eibach springs would cause so much negative camber, when everyone else seems to be getting -2.0 or less in negative camber with these springs.

...and if you do need to go with adjustable rear camber arms they're not that expensive and easy to install. When you take it in for alignment be sure tell tell the technician you now have two adjustments per side for camber. It's best to work with a technician that is more of an enthusiast and is really into working on a special setup. They'll take the extra time to make sure it's done right.

Im putting on my Eibach Springs on the 17th of Jan - so far this info has been eye opening. At least now I can see the potential downfalls and what I SHOULD do immediately after installing them. (Have to love support I am getting from the 350z Club of Florida so far - pretty much lent me all the tools and labor I need to get almost any project done)

Ok, here is the lowdown -
Camber Front Left: -1.31 Front Right: -1.63 Rear Left: -2.58 Rear Right: -2.43 He said this is best they can do without a camber kit, so it looks like I'll be installing the kit next week. Thanks for all your help guys. Oh and if you need an alignment/suspension specialist in the tri-state area, try out EuroTire in Fairfield NJ.

On my 350Z i used the SPC, looks like there is a set for the 370Z as well. Not sure if you will DIY, but will need a dremel/rotary file to elongate the cam bolt slot on the chassis. There is probably a how-to-thread somewhere on this forum:
SPC Application Search - Product Before I went with the SPC, I went cheap with Kinetix front and rear. very disappointed with poor quality and threw them away. Good luck with this, you have the tough part behind you - understanding the basics of what is required to properly mod your suspension.

I waited about a month before getting an alignment to let it settle and it wasn't to much off.

Thanks for sharing this info with us. I plan on installing Eibachs in a few months and will buy a camber kit at the same time.
Which camber kit has proven to be the best so far? thanks

Happy New Year to all.
If the drop from the springs and how it effects toe adjustment is anything like on the 350Z, then the toe bolt will NOT need to be installed. I am assuming if you have a drop from Eibach springs of .08 rear and even with 1.0 as found with H&R springs. There is enough adjustment for toe with the oem toe bolt. I had H&R on my last 350z and did not need to spend all that time (labor) hogging out the old bolt hole. By all means get them if they are included in the rear camber kit (they are worth $75 street price as a stand alone). Good to keep on hand if you drop ride height in the future with coilovers. |
