So the other day I went to inspect the brake pads, when I discovered that the brake pad sliding pins had started to come loose on one caliper.
One of the pins had slided out of the hole completely, and the other was on it's way out. Turns out that the locking clips were missing ![]() I don't get how this could happen, I bought it used and haven't changed pads. I've had it in 3 times for service, and the first service they inspected the brakes and told me all was good, and the last service they changed brake fluid. I'm guessing they had the pads removed and forgot to put the clips back, I can't imagine them just breaking. But why would they remove them for a fluid change? Maybe they removed them to check wear? Anyways, I'm thinking of buying new pads, specifically EBC Redstuff. I read somewhere that the locking clips comes with new pads sometimes, does anyone know if this is the case? It is for the sport brakes if it makes a difference. Thanks! |
