Camber arms etc. necessary with coils?
I tried to search for this info but couldn't find anything, so here goes:
I'm looking at getting BC BR coils this July/August. Redline360 has them for sale and it says they include front camber plates. Assuming I want a stock-ish ride, but lower (okay maybe a little stiffer in the rear but nothing dramatic), what else would I need? Also, should I be getting the rubber top mounts or the pillow-ball mounts? Thanks

Camber plates do nothing on our cars. Camber is adjusted via the upper control arm in front.
In the rear, there is some camber adjustment, but i dont remember what the range is. Its not that much. Whether you "need" control arms depends how low you go. If you're at "stock height" . . . maybe not But as you lower the car, camber/caster/toe will all be affected and to get back to factory spec, which most people want to be at, you need an adjustable FUCA and rear arms. As a practical matter, the adjustability isn't go go back to stock alignment, it's to dial up camber for wheel fitment and/or performance. OEM alignment is for reliability and longevity, not performance

If going bc br then I think you will need camber arms as their max height is still about a 1.5" drop (according to bc when I was shopping coilover). It didn't make sense to me to go with a coilover that has a max height as the max drop I could want so I didn't go that route but to each their own just something to think about as other will let you have less drop with a still very wide usable range.

Yep, my experience was that they're necessary and I only went down .9" in the front and .75" in the back. Went through a set of tires fairly quickly so I installed front uppers and camber arms out back.
The newer SPC forged upper control arms are a decent deal if you don't want to go all-out on a set of SPL's or Voodoo arms. Super easy to adjust and they feature a full range of motion with no increase in NVH. I've had mine on for at least six months and they've held their adjustments being daily driven over less than ideal pavement. Go with SPL in the rear as the price difference is negligible.

I needed F&R arms and toe bolts and I lowered the car less than an inch.

I installed my coliovers last weekend and agree with adding camber arms and toe bolts on the rear, didn't need anything on the front. Im down 2+ inches front and rear and in terms of the alignment im about 1 degree off in camber which is fine by me, toe is in factory spec. This would not have been possible without the arms and bolts. Good luck with your suspension!
