You can get a set of takeoff akebonos for less than that. Look at the for sale threads here and I'll bet you could get out for $1k.

I bought a set of nearly new red Akebonos on eBay for $1100/
I think they were off of a wrecked Nismo. They came with pads, hard lines, rubber lines and mounting bolts. There were plenty of pics, so I could tell the shape that they were in. I mounted them last weekend as well as Z1 stainless lines and they are perfect.
