Brake lines and coilovers...

I was prepping to install a set of used Fortune Auto 500's this coming weekend and I noticed that the coilovers don't have the bracket to hold the brake line and the ABS wire. Since I don't have the instructions and can't find them on FA's website what do people do with the brake line and ABS wire? Zip-tie them? TIA!

Fab your own bracket or ziptie.

Different (or . . . better . . . ) coilovers are properly designed with the bracket in the right spot.

seems like fortune "neglected" to do that in their "design" of their 370z system

Well looks like I'll be doing the zip tie route :/ Would've been nice to have the brackets from the factory, but I'm hopeful I'll like how the setup performs once they're on the car.

If going the zip tie route and the shock bodies are threaded I'd wrap some tape around the threads before attaching the brake and abs lines to prevent any abrasion to the lines.

Ah good tip! There are threads on the body, just below the spring so I'll watch out for possible rub points. I was thinking that I might be able to tie onto the part without the threads but I'll have to look and see how the lines run once I get under the car again.

Just wanted to post an update on this... I contacted Fortune Auto to see if they had any advice and spoke with Cade. Nice dude and super helpful... he asked for a picture of the coilovers because apparently the 4th and 5th generation 500 series have some sort of a bracket that can be added to hold the lines. I'm going to order a set and I'll post pics when they come in. +rep for Fortune Auto customer service on this one!

I ran into the same situation buying a used set, called them and they hooked me up. Can't say enough about their customer service...

Super lame but if they are willing to hook you up, call them.
