0 rear camber on stock arms?
Hi all,
I have stock suspension but my rear camber has fallen out to about -4. Was wondering if it's possible to dial it back to at least -1 or 0? Also, 0 rear toe. Thank you

I believe stock spec for total rear toe is around 1/8", so 1/16" per side. |

Could not be done on my car with factory parts. About -1.5 camber is as far toward zero - as it would go.
I installed adjustable rear camber arms, and dialed the camber to zero. At that point, the toe is way off and would not correct with factory toe bolts. So, I then had to install SPC toe bolts to get 1/16" toe per side. Car drives awesome with this rear set up. Very pleased with the result! Last edited by SG4247; 12-26-2016 at 03:57 PM. |

For a stock z with stock parts, -4 degrees of rear camber is way out of spec. I would be concerned that you bent or damaged something for it to be that far off with all else being stock . If there is damage or a collision you will most likely need to replace suspension components. If you are lowered you will need a camber kit and to bolts to return the car to near factory settings.
If no collision or impact is present and you are stock height, yes, you should be able to get the rear back into spec by having the car aligned. Quote:

BTW,
The SPC kit comes with two bolts, four eccentric washers, and two nuts per box. As far as I could tell, both bolts are identical! (same part numbers on the eccentric washers too!) I bought two boxes of four total bolts. Since I installed camber arms, I did not need two of the bolts, since there was plenty of adjustment with the arms. |

Max spec stock is about -2.2. At -4 I would be looking to bent parts and replace them. Drifting shouldn't effect it unless you curbed it? P.s. Anything over -2.5 sounds extreme even for track I think (just a guess vs other pure track cars since the z isn't very common as a track only car in my area) but I think you'll mainly find about a -3 front with -2-2.5 rear as the aggressive setup.

Do not! I repeat DO NOT!! Run "0" toe in the rear!! Unless you drift your car.

Close to 0* camber is fine for getting full rubber contact w/road,Drag-Racing,etc,,,,but like Wonka say's,
0* toe can be very dangerous @ higher speeds...keep it on the + side.

OP, I run stock toe in the rear to keep straight line stability. Like I said unless your into drifting because if you run 0 toe in the rear that's what you will be doing.
Now up front I run 0 toe it is amazing with turn in on corners. And I Run -1.8° camber up front and -1.2° camber in the rear. My caster is set to 8 I really love it. Hope it helps. P.S. I have Z1 upper control arms, SPL rear camber arms and SPC toe bolts.

Thanks for posting your setup guys. I do go drifting occasionally but on a day to day basis, i would like stability and traction for high speed cornering. Stock specs have been good to me so far, so i guess i'll keep it that way, and just dial back in the camber. The premature wear on all my tires is getting expensive
