bc preload
just ordered a set of bc br coilovers, and im just wondering do they already come preloaded out of the box? if not how many mm of preload are you guys running?
watched that earlier today. just wasnt sure if they already came from the factory pre loaded.
You can compare what you received to the video. I believe its betwee 7mm to 10mm.
ok perfect, worst case ill give bc a call
I presume its not preloaded (front) unless you requested them to do it for you when you ordered it. The rears would definitely needed to be done by you or the shop.
yeah the fronts seem like they will be easy since you can do the preload while the coils are off the car, but the rears will have too be done on the vehicle if you want too make an adjustment. im also wondering where they get the preload number from am i just suppose too call bc?
You need to set the preload after you set the ride height in your car, so it's pretty tough for them to preset it for you from the factory.
It lists preload in the booklet. If I remember right it was 10mm. |
ok perfect would you have too set the fronts on the car since you dont have too adjust the top collar for height adjustment
I would think you need to set the preload first of the front struts off the car then you can measure the height of the car you want once installed as BC coils ride height can be adjusted as the preload collars are separate and no need to adjust when you got the preload set already.
I don't know if I make sense. Lol |
The springs on BC coiled are preloaded from the factory if you bought them new. You shouldn't need to adjust preloads unless you're tracking it hard and want a more customized set up for better performance.
