Default Best Riding Performance Suspension

I'd like to get inputs on the best riding performance suspension, as the title implies. I want a suspension system that can handle the likes of US.129 but then be as comfortable, or close to, the stock suspension. I have no preference of air ride versus coil over and lets stay under the realm of $4-5k. I don't have deep pockets but I'm not hurting either and I'm just researching my options for now.

Probably not "the best", but I'm very happy with my Powertrix street coilovers with Swift spring upgrade. Better than stock in performance and comfort. And 1/3 of the budget you listed.

After talking with Charles the other day these are one that is highly in my list. I'm still a bit worried about the high spring rate but he assures me they ride smoother than oem sport suspension. You say it's more comfortable than the oem but I see you have a nismo so that's one harsh suspension to compare to.

Which ones are high on your list? The ones mentioned above I'm assuming?

Yea the powertrix is on the list of options and talking to Charles has almost swayed me over. I think I've narrowed down to these, rsr, hks and maybe kw also maybe fortune but I don't think they go high enough.

I'm a fan of MCA. Ride is very comfortable for coilovers yet valved well enough to do some very spirited driving and hang with other high end suspension setups. I would suggest at least the X-Series or Reds, but if you're up for it, golds are to put it simply, absolutely breathtaking.

I've seen the mca and they sound great too but I'm unfortunately not brace enough for a true type coilover in the rear.

So I don't want to hijack the ops thread. One thing you left off op is if ride height is critical to you and what height you wish to keep. Myself I do not want to got any more than roughly .6-.8 so that limits a lot of options. If I remember right I looked at fortune before but just like BC their max height is still about 1.5 inch drop. Currently I am double checking that because if they can do oem then that's another to seriously consider as they have custom spring rates, custom damper rates and assembles right here in USA, otherwise I think I've. Arrived down to powertrix or rsr depending on how I feel about the spring rates.

Oh really? Well then that sounds promising. I thought I saw somewhere they were shorter length like some of the others, but if your at .5 then that sounds great. What spring rates did you go with and how is ride comfort?

The standard rates are fine for street. I initially went with Swift springs 11k front 8k rear. I recently switched them out for 13k front and 10k rear because I started tracking the car.

Cool 8k is same as OEM so that should be fine. Your new rates are close to powertrix rates at 12/11 how are your new rates on the street? I think ill give fortune a call tomorrow and see what they have to say. How were the default rates in terms of car balance? OEM is 7.5/8.1 so 11/8 would have more understeer wouldn't they

^ the track guys state to use a big front sway bar. A big bar basically increase the spring rate. So based on that, I think in our cars, the higher spring rate would be helping.

Just installed Flex Z suspension, so far the car ride quality is good. little stiffer than OEM but feels good to me.
