BC Coilovers Question

or nm i think i figured it out.. someone confirm this for me. so the actual shock is what holds the preload and the adjustment it done by the spring

or nm i think i figured it out.. someone confirm this for me. so the actual shock is what holds the preload and the adjustment it done by the spring in the rear so you can make adjustment in the rear without losing the preload.

Right. The rear you have to adjust the spring seat and then the shock length after you set your spring, that's the downside of oem type.

Yeah it made a world of difference after everything was done. I measured from where the spring seat comes in contact with the perch up to the top of the spring then preloaded up 8mm using the jack (BC recommends 7-10)

Yes exactly and the pita part is that each and every time you make an adjustment to the spring in either direction you also have to go back in and reset the preload. It took me three or four tries to get everything where i wanted in the rear. Fronts are easy because they are indeed preloaded from the factory youre just adjusting the lower locking rings and twisting the shock body up or down.

that does sound like a pain then, hope i get it first try was just going too go half way in the rear then hope that low enough lol

Its not hard it just takes time. I personally would start by lowering it a quarter then seeing where it is. Mine was quite low already at a quarter of the way and then i raised it from there. Good luck

yea i was going too start of by lowering half way but maybe that too much too start lol i just want too lose the wheel gap
