akebono caliper paint get chipped

Hi guys,

This is my first thread :hello: Just bought a used 2014 370z with Sport package and prep it for the coming track day. I did brake pads swap yesterday but accidentally chip the front caliper paint ( red caliper, 0.3" chip), I feel stupid even though it is my first time doing this job and with this car. I wanna see is it necessary to fix the paint to prevent getting worse later or leave as is? If you have any solutions (The easier the better), i would love to hear! Thank you guys

maybe find an online site that sells auto touch up paint, find the closest red...then again I doubt if anyone will notice scratch except you

thanks bud. I know it will bother me for now but if I leave it as is, will the edge start peeling off and getting worse because of heat or something? Or get rust?

I got a chip on one of my calipers and after three years, there's still no rust. I wouldn't worry about it.

Next time you need to take a wheel off, reach in and place a rag on top of the caliper. This will help protect it from the wheel as it comes off or back on.
