Rattling Noise Low Speed

Hey Good-Afternoon,

I recently purchased my CPO 2014 Z with less than 6k miles. I didn't notice this when I was test driving it but I recently noticed that at low speeds I hear this rattling noise coming from my front passenger side. Even when I turn at low speeds I still hear the noise. I'll post a video by tonight when I get home from work. Hopefully the wind won't block out the sound too bad. Does anyone know what the problem would be? I'm not sure if i'm mistaking this noise from the transmission or clutch than from my brakes or suspension

If the rattling goes away when you step on the clutch it's a normal transmission sound.

You can also hear a little noise which I think is from the input shaft on some Z's when they are good and hot, crawling at low speed/low RPM (like 2nd gear at 5 - 10 mph), but this would likely sound like it's coming from the front of the car more than the passenger side.

Can you have someone else drive the car while you ride shotgun? See if the sound "moves" to the other side, or you may be able to hear it better.

CPO, I'd be taking it to the dealer. The "inspection" they do isn't worth anything but they should be taking care of you when you find problems.

Good luck and congrats on the Z!
