Adjustable Coilovers @ OEM height
I'm looking for compression / rebound adjustable Coilovers to crank down for track days and ease off for daily driving.
Any suggestions that may remain @ stock height? Thank you kindly :tiphat: |
P. S. Dnt want to adjust height just shock valving, to keep alignment.

The tein seem to have the firmest spring rates from what I found. The hks I'm still curious about as all reviews that I have found for them state they are very daily drivable but they do use a 10k front and 9k rear spring, also progressive rate in the rear. I am really interested in the rsr but have found no reports of how they are on the z (a lot of frs though). The rsr have me interested because they are 8k/8k linear just like oem and the are a composite ti spring (so light weight) also they keep all the rubber isolators for noise. So in theory should be able to retain Oem ride on street and then firm the valving for track days. Haven't made the move myself but that's what I've gathered so far. Oh and kW v3 will reach near Oem height but I don't like the ride characteristics of progressive rate springs. |
A guy on the G37 board just installed Fortune Auto coil-overs and he accidentally set them higher than OEM when installing. I don't know if FA offers double-adjustables but Broadway Static offers custom FA dampers with single, double and triple adjusters and spring rates of your choice. I assume you could get OEM-tall springs and double-adjustment. I priced a set of single-adjustables with custom Swift springs for my G sedan and was quoted $1,800.

Contact Broadway Static. They customize FA dampers.

I instead pulled the trigger on HKS Hipermax IV GTs for my NISMO. Haven't installed them yet, due to still being overseas, but I've seen nothing but great reviews of them. These come preadjusted out of the box with a small drop and have been reviewed as improving the driving feeling. |

Aragostas can be had two or three way adjustable and will adjust above stock ride height. Order then from Japan and skip Bulletproof and their $1K "fee" for importing them. PM me and I can give you more details. Cost me $60 to import.

Im pretty sure my fortune auto 500s will go very close to oem height.

If you are still having a hard time finding an option, I can talk with Stance about building you a set with slightly longer shocks to suit the stock height.
Shoot me a PM if you have any questions! -Daelen |
^This is the way to go. Daelen is also an awesome guy to deal with.

LOL...I know no pictures yet but I did take some measurements and my rears are 0.5" lower than OEM and the front is 0.75" below OEM. I had no issues running over the curbing at Wildhorse Park Raceway this weekend!
