camber?

So the local suntire guy says I need a camber kit for the rear(comes factory set)over the phone? Is this the same as the camber arms I see members discussing. which is better, what brand and decent price? My oem 18 rear tires are bald inside to midline. Any other mod will fix this like a washer? THANKS:driving:

Are you lowered?

The rear can be adjusted but it is limited.

Jimbo370 06-16-2016 10:39 AM

I am not lowered. the tire mechanic was thinking my 2009 370z was not adjustable over the phone. I was clueless. the rear tires have tread on outside with 26k miles. need to know what is a good camber setting for rear just for DD and a little fun no track? thanks for quick response::tiphat:

Your tire guy didn't know its adjustable? That sort of stuff should be easily available to a shop

You may want to go to a different business . . . get your camber back to stock settings

Toe and stupid driving are what kill tires. Camber isn't really the cause. I'd get a full alignment check, while you're replacing tires

Well the rear camber went from -2.5 and -2.6 to -1.8 and -1.9. The oem small adjustment bolt allowed .7 movement in case anyone is interested. He said I will need to get adj cam arms next time. Everything else was easy but the $65 to shell out. Side note that they charge a $1 more for each tire above size 18 and lowered cars tack on $30 more at suntire :driving:
