Haven't looked at my brace in a while, but noticed the middle hole is shown as a slot now. 99% sure it wasn't like that before.

My OCD wants to get this so I have 3 bolts in, but just placed an order for other stuff at Z1, so maybe the next go around.

So I installed mine a couple months ago, and just recently, I installed Mr. Rusty's brace ^^ too.. I got 2 of the 3 bolts in.. and it was a lot easier to install the 2nd time around..

Let me give you guys a trick that really worked for me.. I took 2 zip ties and with one I made a circle.. the 2nd zip tie, I zip tied (not anywhere tight, I could easily fit 3 fingers) the bar that separates the master cylinder area from the engine bay, now take that 1st zip tie and interloop it to the 2nd. (like 2 wedding bands interlooped)

if you did this right, you should have 1 zip tie to the small metal bar, and another zip tie interlooped and hanging freely...now you'll take that zip tie thats hanging and use that with the gold nut (its actual threads) from the master cylinder to place down in the mounting location, and those zip ties will hold that nut into place while you can focus on lining up your holes..

I then used a socket with a allen head with really good lighting to get the upper and lower bolts into the holes.

This was such a good tip with the zip ties. Thank you! Still having trouble with getting the bolts in due to not having the right tools. I got the top one in. I’m going to assume that the easiest. Has anyone tried these bendable extensions? I’m going to give them a whirl. My hands hurt after an hour and half of torture.

Those might work. What I used was a universal joint attached to a socket extender. I used painters tape to attach the bolt to the allen bit.

I’ll report back here if they do

Universal joint and the flexible extenders were the ticket. Got all three bolts in! :p

Just put this on friday at the track between sessions. Gives a noticeably firmer pedal. Not a huge change, but noticeable. Highly recommend it.

I totally agree with you, I just installed mine couple of days ago, and I have noticed the pedal is firmer now. And as you mentioned, not that huge change, but it is worth it I guess.

Update: I just got 2 screws installed on both ends (fist and last), the second one (middle) didn't go in, and I think it is problem is on the car not the brace. However it is secured and solid enough to do the purpose.

NASM

Same here-middle screw didn't go in. For those who are reading and planning to install-file the hole down about 1mm extra, should be OK

Good idea this master cylinder brace.

I have a similar brace on my Z33. Carbing made a strut brace with a master cylinder
brace attached. Not a huge change in the braking feel. But is noticeable.
Did Z1 get the idea from the Carbing product?
