Wheel alignment

1 Attachment(s)
Just had my wheel alignment done and one the techs told me that my stock suspension is fully adjustable to what degree i dont know. Dont know how much i buy into it.

I have no idea how to read these numbers. So i don't know if my alignment was off to begin with.

http://OE Align Stats
Her are the OE alignment stats. If the pic worked?

Elmo370z 03-31-2016 02:29 PM

No it didnt work

kenchan 03-31-2016 02:50 PM

does dat show minus toe on the rear? (toe out)

kinda tuff looking at it sideways. lol

Rusty 03-31-2016 08:17 PM

Here's the numbers I got from looking at your sheet. Some of it is hard to read.

Front
Left Right
Camber
-.97 -.69
Caster
+4.67 +4.63
Toe
.06 .09

Rear
Camber
-1.67 -1.68
Toe
-.04 -.02

Your rear toe is pointing out. It should be pointing in.

Elmo370z 03-31-2016 10:49 PM

rear 1.57 (camber) 1.60
-0.04 (toe) -0.02

Elmo370z 03-31-2016 10:49 PM

damnit so now i have to go back

Elmo370z 03-31-2016 11:06 PM

Im looking at the FSM and nothing is adding up, guess ill have to call back tomorrow.

Elmo370z 04-01-2016 11:58 AM

So i called the shop today and they told me the toe they had pointing out is for best tire wear, i guess time will only tell.

These rears had almost 20,000 miles on them. They don't look that bad after that many miles

Go to a different shop. That's BS. Toe out will give you snap over steer.

Elmo370z 04-01-2016 12:46 PM

got damn1t

thanks yah, i thought i read toe out. lol

op- datz a pretty shitty alignment if ud asked me unless your car was in an accident or something. ur thrust angle is pretty decent. i would have it redone.

Elmo370z 04-02-2016 11:30 AM

I got re scheduled. I printed off oem specs from my fsm

That's a second on the rear toe! Negative toe (-) will make your Z feel loose under hard acceleration & higher speeds.
And if suspension is stock; front toe & rear camber & toe is all that is adjustable...rear camber will peak at where yours is now (around -1.7ish)

Forget about tire wear; negative toe in the back will cause the azz end to dance around at higher speeds/ very unsafe.

Firestone does this too. Looks just like this printout. And after two paid alignments, the rest are free for life / the rest of your ownership of the vehicle.

Hard to beat that! :driving:

That alignment service is also free (maybe basically included in the price) when I buy tires from the dealership.

^^

Free ain't free if you have to spend $1k to get it! lol. Point understood, though.

Elmo370z 04-03-2016 12:20 PM

I have an appointment this friday to get it fixed
