Swift feel versus other cars
So I have been on swifts since I bought my 2012, but noticed something after driving both my friend's M3 and his gf's BRZ in the SF city streets and backroads: they are less bumpy and still feel awesome when turning under acceleration. I feel as if my Z makes loud noises when it hits cracks and bumps in the road and I can feel them a lot more than the othed two cars.
And so my questions: 1) are other cars (thinking cayman s next) as bumpy and loud as a z with swifts? 2) what is the remedy? Get german suspension setup? Konis and swift fix this? Thank you

I put some 18's and beefy tires and it reduced the jolts that the 19's were giving before, but still. Anyways, google didn't help me too much. For instance, my uncle's sl55 was stiff on bumps and road cracks (would never let me drive it, but I was passenger), but never felt uncomfortable.

Are you talking about the road noise or suspension noises? Im on stock suspension and other than the road noise I dont hear the suspension making any loud noises. Im installing swifts this weekend and I heard you need to install the rubber insulators from the stock suspension or else you will hear noises. Id like to hear others opinions too cause from what ive been reading the swifts ride better and absorb bumps better than the stock springs.

and make sure you put the springs on the correct way up, few people who have bad sounds coming from the springs seem to have them upside down from what i have seen here on the forum.

Just got a check-up and the springs are on correctly, bushing on the driver-side rear is on its way out (nissan said), and I'm at 52k miles. The breakdown: at freeway speeds everything is awesome. The car sinks into turns and feels like it is gripping. Awesome. But in the city (ours has some of the worst roads in the country), the bumps are real. They are loud. Potholes sound like loud crunches, and if there is a change of level of concrete, the bumps can be felt. In the city, my friends brz and m3 and my uncle's sl55amg are more comfortable on these potholes and bumps and make less noise. Is this just the cabin? Are the shocks in the other cars just better at absorbing shock from potholes and uneven concrete? Genuinely interested in an answer not from a salesman.
