Harshness with the Nismo may be due to more mismatched damping/spring rates than the stock 370Z has. It sounds crazy, but it's not always matched up well. That's why its nice to have custom valving for your spring rates you choose. Helps take away some of the rough ride if the spring/shock combo works well together.

Well I think the roads here are a bit different than there. When I visited my friend in New York a few years ago the inner city streets are faulty bad but no different than SF but ones out of the city and in the highways (we want to Connecticut) they were much much smoother. I think the east coast roads may have some big holes here and there but you can dodge around them. Here in ca freeways there are a ton of fast ripple bump areas that you can not avoid and with stuff springs and firm low speed compression it is like going over a washboard and rattles you to death.

I have these on my car. Have 8k and 8k with stillen sways and potenzas 71R. The car is amazing at the track. Imo stiffer springs "feel" better but on a slow track like mine, softer is faster on this car.

If I had to do it again I may have gone with a 14/12k setup front/rear but that's also partially because I still daily drive the car to work 98% of the time. Hah once I get a daily driver I'm sure I won't mind one bit. Still love how the car handles. Just changed my setup to a square rear Rays 19x10 with a Toyo R888R 295/30r19 and it feels great. Haven't had it on a road course yet though. Will report back with that.
