Brakes ?
I've been having a problem on my 370z. When I accelerate my e-brake light comes on then my traction control light comes on,and then my e-brake light goes off but traction control light still stays on ??? I checked my brake fluid and is still topped off... anybody knows what this could be ?

Adjust e-brake per FSM. Lots of missing information, mileage, tires, road conditions (dry, wet) etc.
Traction control will come on when tires get worn, sand on the road way, wet roads and you are standing on the loud pedal. Try driving 'normally' i.e. no stoplight to stoplight racing. If traction control light stays off, your 'problem' is in your right foot.... :twocents: |
Driving normal the lights do stay off... but once I press the gas pedal a little more aggressive the e-brake lights up, then I let off on the gas e-brake light will go away ... the car has 48,000 miles on it. Rear brakes are a little low and will be needing to be replaced.

Also one of my rear driver side tire is worn more then the other tires, I'm going to do alignment soon also

Low on brake fluid would be my guess.

Middle pedal in manual car = brake
Left pedal on auto car = brake Those two use brake fluid in that you fill and check under the bonnet. E brake = uses a cable to the back wheels. It has nothing to do with the fluid under the bonnet. Do a Google search on how to adjust the cable. I think it's a little 10.. under the e brake handle somewhere. One adjusted, make sure the e brake still engage enough to not roll down a hill when in use. Or maybe you WOT too much?? Try that for now.. |
Recheck your brake fluid. It should be slightly above the full line. But since you said that your rear brakes are low. I would then change the rear pads then check the brake fluid.

Brake fluid is above the full line
