Default Base brake pads

Anyone have any luck just replacing the front base pads without doing the rotors? Everytime I just try a quick pad swap I get shimmy in the wheel and wind up having to get new rotors. On my Tahoe I can just swap new pads no problem....

Do you re-bed them? You need to get rid of previous pad material from the rotors in order for new pads to do their job.

Yes, I re-bed them last time and it didn't work. I'll throw pads in and try it again

Why not replace the rotors, and do the job properly.
