Least expensive coilovers on the Market?

Hey guys, Can anyone comment on these ? I do not ever track my car - I just need coilovers for height adjustability - THATS IT Full Coilover Suspension Kits

Hey guys,

Can anyone comment on these ? I do not ever track my car - I just need coilovers for height adjustability - THATS IT

Full Coilover Suspension Kits 09-11 Nissan 370Z Z34 Nismo/Base Coupe 2D

Will these work from just a pure functionality stand point - the current set up on the car is not practical at all. It was this way when I bought it - I am just trying to correct the issue in the most economical value....I just use the car to get to work basically ...

Depends what you mean by "work"
They'll fit. It's not going to be really easy to adjust the height, still takes some time just as an FYI.

A set of take-off OEM springs (out of a Nismo or a regular coupe) would be a whole lot cheaper.

ok... .I hear u ,, I have access to a lift and all that good stuff .. I mean I would probably set them on higher side .... just below the max setting and then leave them

What do you mean by "time" .. I mean isnt it a matter of just twisting a setting on the pieces themselves?

by "work" I mean that a)will they fit .. and b) will I be able to adjust the height .... I want a stance that is about 1/2 higher on the front ... PLUS increased handling and ride quality. Would you agree that a set of coilovers is a better option than just springs with oem struts ....?


....thoughts?

hmm interesting ... but I want to be a "little" lower than stock .. plus arent these coilovers adjustable .. and well... coilovers .... so they should offer a better controlling car when all is said and done right (vs what is on there now which i assume are lowering springs)?

plus--- I mean how much "cheaper" ... 450.00 for a set of coilovers is pretty cheap ...considering you get height adjustability and better handling than "stock" ... overall i mean.

Would totally agree if the set in question was say double .. .but these seem too cheap to be true ... I've looked at a lot of coil overs for a lot of cars ..and NEVER seen any even close to this price ...

am I missing something?...sorry just dont want to buy the total wrong solution ...

u should get swift springs. they match the stock dampers well.

itd probably be 150% better than a $435 coilover thing.

Thats why I come here .... and I will still have some wheel clearance correct?.. I mean currently the front wheels are flush in the wheel well.... I really need to see what is on there now ..but its my daily .. I cant afford to have it on a rack for more than a day. I think the prior owner cut them personally ... but if they are aftermarket there is a small chance they may be swift springs already. I have been under the car and the springs do not look anything remotely aftermarket ... and I heard swift springs are black, arent stock springs black as well ...?

Sorry for the newb questions - I need to be sure before I order and install..

Ti2000 RS-R Lowering Springs

According to the sticky it says they have the least drop in the front ....

thoughts?

Go with the Swifts. No matter what set of springs you choose, you may or may not need rear camber arms and lockout bolts (if they didn't come with the car when you bought it).

If you lower the car, whether it be with springs or coilovers (stay far, far away from the ones you posted), expect to need front and rear camber arms and toe bolts to get your alignment back in spec. Some people have gotten away with it, but 95% of people need aftermarket parts to get the alignment back in spec. If you're paying the labor for the spring install, go ahead and do the arms at the same time so you don't pay labor twice.

And before you complain about the cost of the arms and install, just remember that it's far cheaper than burning up a set of tires because the alignment is out of whack.

Your right ... I mean I will be installing the springs myself .. but if I am going to do it .. do it right .. can you please recommend a reasonable product for the parts you mentioned .. thank you so much for helping out ..

implication of this thread's title vs op's listed vehicle (08 Z06) just doesn't make much sense lol.

Best of luck op, I hope you gather the right parts and have a smooth sailing. Make sure you find a competent alignment shop. Not every Goodyear/Firestone/random garages/dealerships know how to properly align a car with adjustible aftermarket suspensions. Make sure you let the sprigs settle a bit before aligning.

I need to change my sig .. I have a 2010 370z m6 - sorry for the confusion. I have been thinking about it alot and I think just a stock set of nismo springs and shocks would be a good compromise.. that way I wont have to get any of the camber hardware and I satisfy the height requirement ...again thank you for your help ...
