Do I have lowering springs? Or have my springs been cut? PLEASE HELP

I have had my 2010 370 since March 2015. At first I loved it ... but as I drove it as my daily driver it quickly became apparent that some of the mods that were done to the car before I purchased it were not practical.

Mainly the suspension - it looks great .. BUT it is just too low. That combined with an aftermarket front bumper with a very low lip and Burke exhaust is a recipe for disaster. I bottom out on speed bumps and can not easily pull into most gas stations. I have attached images below. I am running 235 35 r20s in the front. There is no rubbing but its darn close......

Please give your best guess ..... do you think my springs were cut? or were lowering springs used ? ... I have been under the car and the springs are not a different color or size ... let me know what you guys think .. I need to fix this ASAP ... its tearing my car apart. I would just like about a half inch raise on the front suspension.

I assume coil overs would fix this .... again thoughts and comments appreciated.

I must apologize in advance .. when I view the pictures on my desktop they are right side up ... no matter what I do when I go to save them to my photo album they appear upside down. But you should be able to see clearly what I am referring to and form an opinion.

regardless.... even best case ,,, say they are some sort of lowering springs ... I need coilovers wouldnt you think ?

You could swap your current springs for another like Swift springs that give a lesser drop than what you have now and still maintains a comfortable ride, if not better. Coil overs are nice in that they offer ability for height adjustments, but that comes with a price. Swift springs runs around $250-300 compare to a quality set of coil overs that would start from 1200 and up. Depending on your goal for your car as well. My car is daily driven so I went with Swifts springs, the drop is 1" from stock height and I haven't had any issues with scraping around town.

ummm ... great question ... i would assume not ... sorry i'm a newb at suspension . what do u mean when you say "side wall"

and I said "assume no" because the car has some great modes .. and the stances is perfect... IF ITS NOT MOVING lol ...I think the previous owner just wanted the "look" to be right ...and didnt care how he got there ...

that is why I think the springs are cut ... because they seem WAY too low ..even for lowering springs ..and the ride is pretty shitty (rough) AND there isa little camber to the fronts...which I need to fix ASAP due to tire wear

hence ... coilovers....but 435 is a darn good price. But I definitely wanted to run these by you guys ...

Thank you for that ... they were for sure not colored .... and given what people had said about swift springs .. they are actually mild in terms of drop ... .so with that said ... its very possible they were cut ... thoughts ?

You can easily measure ride height and compare to what it's supposed to be. Some of the "will it fit?" threads have more info or download the FSM (link in my sig).

Well from my experience, all aftermarket springs are branded with the name so if you have the time, just take a wheel off and check them, that way you'll eliminate the ? you have on stock or not.

This. and if the springs were cut, you should be able to tell easily.

I'd be more afraid that the rest of the car needs to be looked over with a fine toothed comb if the previous owner was the type to cut the springs.
