Stock Caliper Paint is ruined
Hi,
the past weekend I ran in Monza. Good experience! But a little bit of brake fluid was exit from the purge valve. (In the last maintenance , my mechanic did not tight well it! ) I washed immediately, but with no results: Any ideas? Like a washing product or a abrasive method to remove the white line? If it's possible, I don't want repaint the caliper....

I got your email and will follow up with you, but in this case, I would not recommend powdercoat as the brakes get too hot on our cars to do track work with powdercoat. What you are seeing there is the result of a really hot brake. More than likely, the fluid seeped from around the threads of the bleed screw and not from the hole, as when the brakes get really hot, the metal expands just enough to let fluid seep out. This is what happens when you do serious track work with powdercoated brakes on our cars without cooling ducts.

I got the same streaks on mine too. Wonder what was happening. Rep to Mike.

I've had my calipers rebuilt once and had them fail last week at ACS. A brake ducting solution is essential. I may have to replace my calipers entirely, but I hope not...

Yea, I got a single 2" hose to each caliper.

I was thinking of NACA ducts on the hood leading to a hose directly down to the brakes. Shorter route and less restrictions.
