I have no problem spinning the wheels from a standstill. Just rev it up real high and dump the clutch - I do that before every run at Englishtown to clean off the tires.

hey all,

I had a 2006 mustang gt previous to my 2009 370 and it also suffered from wheel hop, but not NEARLY as bad. the Z is hop-happy, any loss of traction results in the shuttering. when i took my z to the track with my friend and his 2006 mustang gt, he pulled away hard on the launch..while he was getting solid traction, i was wheel hopping bad. He said that lower control arms were an instant fix and a smart purchase for his mustang, which has the same limited slip set up. I think the car would really wake up off the line with this purchase but i didn't wanna be the guinea pig

Stiffer rear springs help to reduce the wheel hop, but will reduce your performance off the line at the strip.

The 2005-2009 Mustangs had a problem with the upper rear link, it was too short especially if the car was lowered at all. There are several aftermarket adjustable versions as a result.
