could be wrong but i always thought the wheel hop on this car came from how it was transferring its power to the ground.

The stock bushings just have a lot of slop in them. Maybe NA adding a true LSD will help however I know with FI the bushings are what did it for me. I have not had the car hop on me one time.

Lower the rear tire pressure and be more aggressive when applying the gas as the rear tires get traction from the launch (and the rear starts to squat).

I dropped the pressure to 25 in the rear and every time I launched it hopped really bsd

Perhaps coilovers will help a little? Or maybe I wasn't launching high enough/too high?

I can do burnouts no problem but it hops when I floor it in 1st and pops out of gear..

not on my Z, but on my dd that runs continental DWS it hops when i do a fast launch. i think it has more to do with the trueness of the tires.

ok, b15 is going to tell me "fast launches" are impossible with my dd.
here is a pre- for ya, b15.

No -- I do not. However, I have setup my suspension correctly. I also obey all posted speed laws as well as drive in a prudent fashion.

I'd only get wheelhop at the track if I didn't launch it just right. If I got on the gas too late after the rears started to grip, I'd usually get some wheel hop.

I got around that by just hitting the gas hard/fast as soon as I let the clutch out and the rear starts to squat.

It all happens in a split second so timing and practice is key.

Default Wheel Hop

Suspension mods eliminate wheel hop, tires fix the symptom, but not the cause. Replace all stock bushings, upgrade camber and traction arms, stiffer springs or coilovers and upgrade diff and diff bushings as well. Better tires do help, but the reason for wheel hop is losing and regaining traction constantly over and over again because of your toe changing back and forth during acceleration. Eliminate or minimize this with suspension mods.

I still get the dreaded wheel hop in launch and slamming 2nd!

List ov whats dun so far to try and alleviate it...

1) Nismo S-Tune springs/shox
2) Yoko ADVAN AD08R 295/30R19
3) OSG LSD
4) SPL rear diff AL bushings
5) SPL rear traction linx (radius rod)

I guess next up are the SPL rear camber links and knukle monoball bushings for the rear axle housing. I plan to have these installed by the end of the year.

For the rear the camber arms + midlinks will apparently take care of it, but for the front, are the control arms enough or should the bushings in front and rear be replaced as well?

It will help with handling, but the rear suspension is all u need to improve to help with wheel hop.

I'm told that all you need are different rear diff bushings. Like Whitelines.
