im getting wheel hop bad when trying to launch the z without wanting to spin tires, im not dropping the clutch either, maybe its because the tires are really cold, or do the stock bridgestones just suck? if i even accelerate hard in 2nd at 30 mph i still spin also wth? i also wanna see if i can drop the clutch and get it to spin from a standstill later without having any wheel hop but it seems like thats impossible. yeah i know lol i want it to spin when im just messin around but i dont want it to spin when i wanna launch,, hmm any pointers on both? hope this all made sense.

hey all,
I had a 2006 mustang gt previous to my 2009 370 and it also suffered from wheel hop, but not NEARLY as bad. the Z is hop-happy, any loss of traction results in the shuttering. when i took my z to the track with my friend and his 2006 mustang gt, he pulled away hard on the launch..while he was getting solid traction, i was wheel hopping bad. He said that lower control arms were an instant fix and a smart purchase for his mustang, which has the same limited slip set up. I think the car would really wake up off the line with this purchase but i didn't wanna be the guinea pig :driving: |

The 2005-2009 Mustangs had a problem with the upper rear link, it was too short especially if the car was lowered at all. There are several aftermarket adjustable versions as a result. |
I also have the wheel hop problem. Has anyone come up with a fix yet. Just glad nothing grenades under hopping.

ya i also have a lot of wheel hop going on need to get this fixed.
i am thinking rear bushings |

On the new Camaro ZL1 the rear axle has one solid shaft and the other is hollow in which one is twice the size of the other. Most likely the hollow. But according to Chevy after over 1K launces not one case of wheel hop. Google it.

whiteline diff bushings /thread.... again
Edit: Eliminated 100% of the wheel hop on my car. |

Thxs for the input going to order the whiteline brushings.
When I order my flywheel clutch combo Dont drive the car hard from a stop but when I give it Alittle gas from a stop. Its hopping hard even from First to second |
think I'm one of the few here that has tried both the SPL and Whiteline. SPL bushings performance wise were great but too much damn noise. Whiteline bushings, no wheel hop but much much less NVH.

welcome to the world of 5HIT viscous diffs, get used to it. look up how they work, and you will notice why i capitalized 5HIT. If theirs one thing you want to "upgrade" to normal car status about a 370 its that above all other modifications. a clutch type 1.5 or 2 way, locking diff would make this car a completely different animal. thank nissan for wanting to save money and fitting a proper sports car with 1 step above open diff.
