Nismo suspension on Roadster
 

Hello,:hello:

I have a set from 2013 Nismo and I want to install it on my 2010 convertible.
Considering convertible is heavier, would that setup work?
How about Nismo shocks + H&R springs for convertible?

Did anywone try such setup or do the maths?

Verts dont get special suspension.. Youll be fine with any z34 part

I have the eibach springs coming for my roadster shows different mm drop than coupes 20mm on rear and not 25 all round.

Just had Nismo sway bars front and rear dealer installed and the results are fantastic!!! Made a huge difference to the sport suspension and now my roadster has little to none chassis flex. The turn in is amazing and super flat. I also had 20mm spacers at all 4 corners added. Thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. Ref: 2015 touring sport roadster

sway bars do not reduce chassis flex...

Are you talking about the stock Nismo sway bars, or does Nismo make an upgraded set? I was under the impression that the Nismo had the same sways, just different springs and dampers.

My car has factory sport suspension and YES the chassis is stiffer now with Nismo sways. They showed me the hardware and it's all beefier, sways much bigger than factory sports. It made a significant difference. Drive my car for yourself doubters, it made a difference.

I'm not doubting sways made a huge difference. I just didn't realize the Nismo sways were that much larger than the sport setup. Makes me wonder why Nismo owners who upgrade the sways don't sell their takeoffs here if it's an upgrade for the sport suspension.

So the term you use "chassis flex" is being used incorrectly. You are using it as a term to describe the compliance your car had before changing sway bars. By putting on larger sways, you make the suspension less independent. Bumps and dips in the road will now have a greater effect on the opposite side of the car and make the car feel much stiffer. I do not doubt that the car feels more taught, but you have in no way improved chassis rigidity in any measurable way.

Chassis braces on the other hand, exist for the sole purpose of increasing how stiff the actually chassis and frame of the car is.

The difference in the "chassis" was most realized with top down, there is a difference top up and top down with sport suspension. Now, all very different. Just makes it feel more normal or what you would expect. The dealer explained a bunch to me as well as when I emailed Nismo directly. My feel is what they explained as "structural rigidity" being enhanced. The chassis flex may still be there but now everything is stronger giving me better feel. I wouldn't want any bigger sways, nismo did a fantastic job, my opinion. I don't experience any understeer as expressed by owners getting monster sways installed, ala search feature on this site. The car feels stiffer period. The difference now, is night and day. The bushings are beefier like mentioned, all the hardware. 17k on its clock, do want to mention at 10k miles the suspension settled big time, like walking out to go to work and seeing your car lower, just like that and right at 10k miles. My 2 audis did that and my dad's 2014 new stingray did that, right on time, 10k miles. Always found that interesting.
