Damn dealerships.... Alignment..
Did alot of supension work to the car and with work, personal matters, etc. It wasn't till the middle of last month that I could get the car aligned. Except for bushings everything is SPL,
Fortunes coilover setup, Whiteline sway - you get idea. I havent driven the car much since the alignment but since then everytime I hit any kind of bump I hear a crash coming from the driver side front. When I picked up the car the camber on ther passenger side what I expected, the camber on driver side literally stuck the tire outside the fender by 5/8" to 3/4" inches. I explained that it wasn't right but since their GTR expert did the alignment I was fighting a losing battle. Finally have a weekend to look at the car. Need to adjust coilover height a bit as 26" just too low, bumped it up to 26.5. Anyway on the driver rear adjuster this is what I find. I even included the instructions when I took it how SPL recommends only going so far on the adjusters. Here are some pics. Anyway, what was happening they had the camber so far out of whack that the upper control arm was hitting the shock tower when I hit a bump. But on their sheet I was given the camber was within spec. Dropping car off at another alignment shop tomorrow morning, hoping things work out better. Rest of the heim ends are adjusted like I would of expected, no clue what happened here. Is that a crack on the adjustment thread? not the obvious slit, but on the other end? I just installed and aligned my car with these arms. Those arms are showing way too much thread it looks like. What are your specs?

Lol @ GTR tech.
They know how to diagnose and operate on a GTR, doesn't mean they are great at aftermarket suspension, especially alignment. Guys at a Nissan dealership deals with the normal Nissan 99% of the time, a car with fully adjustable arms is an exception rather than the norm. Sorry for your trouble.

Most Nissan Dealership don't do good with aftermarket installs. I hope they have not messed up your SPL camber arms.
I hate you pay another shop to do your alignment again Im sure the dealership already charged you a hefty sum of money for a crapy job and they wont even refund you. |

That thing looks almost maxed in terms of getting you positive camber... You should just run mor e negative camber.
For alignments you really need to tell them what specs you want. Post up your current specs

Dealerships here refuse to align any car with aftermarket parts. They're pushing a 12 on the suck meter...

Make sure to check your whiteliine front sway bar. Mine moved to one side and threw off my alignment setting. It was same scenario where one tire would stick out more than the other even though camber showed the same specs on each side.

Setup an appt. at NTB, car is too low for their alignment rack, took it to Pep Boys. I know their alignment rack is less agressive and know the guy doing it. We'll see.

Sorry to hear about all those headaches!
We are about 1.5 hrs south from you, but if for some reason Pep Boys cant get you sorted give me a call at 410-593-7080(ask for Daelen) and I would love to help you out. We have a low car friendly rack, and are very experienced with aftermarket arms (Pretty much all we align) We also offer corner balancing for Coilover equipped cars also if that is something that you are interested in. Thanks! -Daelen

Look up some Firestone in your area. Give them a call and see if they are low car accessible. If they say yes, take the drive there and see if your can can get on the ramp. If you can, hand him $200 for the life time alignment deal. It's well worth it in if you own a sports car. Anytime you think you need to get it re-aligned, set an appointment and your good to go.

That's a good deal you got there. My brother got the lifetime deal for his car a few years ago for something like $130. I have looked a few times and the cheapest I have seen was like $170 or something like that. Even at $200, it's a steal of a deal considering it cost around $60 each time you get an alignment.
