Air Suspension + Toe
Alright all, ive done some searching and understand the basics of the results on Toe when lowering your car etc. And I know I need to come up with a solution to get me toe fixed but wanted to poll the group. So here goes.
I went to get an alignment on Saturday from the same shop that has been doing mine for years. The goal was to adjust my camber more positive at ride height (keep in mind im bagged). My current ride height camber in the rear is right around -5* and my goal was to get it closer to -3*. However when the shop started adjusting my camber my toe, which is already pretty bad, just got worse. My question is what are those who are on air doing to compensate this? Im already running SPC toe bolts and currently my only thought would be to widen the hole more with a dremel in order to get more adjustment. Another option would be to get the SPL mid links and have a custom mount created, but that option will easily cost north of $1,000. If anyone has insight I would greatly appreciate it. |
Yea I'm definitely sub'd. Lohit sent me a link showing me a custom mid link set up that was 1200$ so yea.... Definitely looking for a cheaper solution

Something cheaper might be to have a machine shop make off set delrin bushings for the wheel hub.
Something like this but on the other side of the toe arm. |
There are a few ways, and you pretty much mentioned them.
The BEST and SAFEST will be to do the SPL Midlink, as that will be the most sturdy and take the abuse. Widening the hole can be dangerous. Offset bushings may work, but, will wear out due to the force on them all the time. |
