the bolts that go in those holes are used to bolt the brake fluid line bracket onto the caliper. Its a C shaped bracket on the rear lines. Perhaps they are still with the car and the bracket? Most people never sent the bolts to me when they sent calipers for coating.

you definitely want to retap the threads and get a replacement bolt.

I think you will have to order from Fastenal to get the proper length caliper bolts. Those long ones won't be available off the shelf anywhere.

Just an update
Finally got the calipers back together. Got the new bolt from a machine shop, and also the place that I got the powdercoat done with finally got all the pieces cleaned out. Put everything together and its now on the car. I will update with picture when I get home. Thanks to all that helped. I went from rotating tires, to installing brakes and flushing brake fluid. Not something I would of thought I'd ever do myself, but this forum is a huge help. |

I dont have a photobucket so I added them as attachments.
First pic is the difference between the oem base front rotors and the new R1 Concepts premier series slotted 14ich rotors for the akebonos. Second pic is a before pic. The next two pics are from when I got the first corner done. 4th pic is from right before the bleed The last pic is after all was done. I didnt get a full pic, im waiting on some pics from a PCH cruise I did last sunday, Ill post those when I get them. |
