On a lighter note I will have the pleasure of flying this thing in the fall. Getting my Seaplane Rating then taking clients fishing in this. And you are seeing correctly, that is a PT6 and Radar Pod.

Nice seaplane!

I used to fly this in the Navy:

Now I fly this:

I currently fly about 6-700 block hours a year, but get paid for around 10-1200 with credit.

Sorry to get off topic OP!

NICE. I used to be Crash Crew in the USMC, then went to college. I used to be left seat on an ERJ but now a little ole Pilatus. I'm ok with it though. Quality if life is good and so is job security. Some guys I knew ended up at Delta. I do miss some things but not many. I apologize to OP as well!

You obviously have the hours, Delta is hiring like crazy with lots of upward movement. Regular line right off the bat and starting pay around 75k.

Mike,

Thank you for the heads up on hiring! I left Part 121 because of needing weekends off to see my kids (divorced before kids were in school and they didn't live where I could commute from). Once my oldest started school I couldn't see them on the weekdays which were basically the only time I had off. I also realized that no matter how big my check got or plane I flew I would be living out of the suitcase and hotel room rest of my life. That's why it's nice to hear of guys like you who are actually enjoying the carrot. I feel like I have the best quality of life I can have while flying planes for a living and that is good enough for me. I get treated very well, get plenty of time off especially for seeing the kiddos and am not just a number. I really do feel like I'm living the dream as crazy as that sounds. I hope I can retire with this company. Maybe someday we will get something that goes higher and faster but if not it's ok too. If by chance I ever do need to go job hunting again I'm sure my resume will go to Atlanta. We all know this is very unforgiving job market for us flyboys. On occasion I end up in KPDK at EPPS aviation. I'll hit you up next time it happens. Thanks again for the encouragement and if you ever take on new customers let me know. Sorry for being long winded

Glad to hear it! I had a good 4 year run as a senior first officer on the 737 where I was home every night, but thats rare. It was so good I had to go and upgrade!
