Swifts Springs vs OEM in high speed cruising
 

I have never driven one with OEM sport suspension at highway speed Since my car came with the Swifts springs with the stock shocks.

For those of you who went from OEM to Swifts springs with OEM shocks, how is the stability of the car when cruising at 80 to 90 mph on the high way, especially on those slight dips? I am just curious if the extra suspension travel on the OEM suspension makes a big difference? Thanks.

I drive it on an 85 mph toll road every few weeks. Been 140 mph at COTA. All on stock suspension. Car is planted :driving:

There's not going to be a noticeable difference in high speed cruising :twocents:

:iagree: 135mph on straights and 100+mph through S's at VIR, no problems at all.

Would you say both set up is similar at high speed cruising? Just curious about the effect of the firmer ride and less suspension travel (Swifts/OEM shock setup) at high speed cruising?

A lot depends on the road surface you are driving at speed on and there are other factors as well, but generally speaking your ride is going to be better with the swifts due to spring rates in comparison with OEM.

The Swifts Rock over OEM Period. If you like the canyons, get the Swifts. Before when I was on the stockers, the back end would always try to unload in a downhill turn wanting to unsettle the car. As mentioned the car will feel much more stable & planted with a firmer more solid ride.

The stock suspension will wallow a lot do to softer springs & more travel.
