Learn me some Front Camber
Morning all,
I am starting to realize that I am a bit too rough on my front tires on track days. I therefore have decided to check options for adding front camber to an OEM suspension. I'm within spec now, which means 0.5 < x < 1.5 deg Bolts / Arms / Brand? I see lots of options out there but most of them are for already-lowered vehicles. Thoughts? |
id do new a-arms -2.2 to -2.5 to start
|
Thoughts on brand?
I see SPL and SPC, but SPL = 2x the price! |
do it right the first time.. go with spl.. quality part
|
Assuming you don't have to worry about any classing rules for modifications to the car I'd pay the extra money for the SPL arms.
As far as how much camber, I'd go at least -2.0. After that, it really depends on how much street driving vs track driving you do and how often you're willing to replace your tires. fwiw I run -3.0 on mine that I use for autox. |

Seriously, when it comes to suspension, you should consider no other brand. |
Go SPL for a track car, no question. There are some good vendors on this forum that give excellent SPL discounts.

Looks like you have your answer. SPL Parts hands down the best suspension parts for our platform.

I'm -2.9 with 6.3 caster and tires are doing ok for both. On the street though when I come home and touch them, the inside is super hot. Going to buy a temp gun today so I can track the heat during events.

Get the SPL's and be done with it. With them, you can adjust the camber and caster. With more caster. You get more camber when the wheels are turned.
