Default Copper plated akebono!!

What up peeps, as you know the AKEBONO BBK upgrade is an affordable upgrade an alternative to stock, of course not quite Rotora, Stoptech, Greddy or other high end brands, but a great improvement in stopping power and looks with the larger rotors. Most often we paint, powder coat, hydrodip.. But I wanted to try something different, Started with polished ( which looks great) but had an idea to try something I saw done twice..on a Bentley caliper and one other Brembo caliper... Anyway here is the finished product... I hope you enjoy and open up new creative ideas for 2015 with different polishes and finishes... My first set of Calipers I rattled canned, looked good, 2nd set Jon Paul Gabrenya painted a custom ZR1 blue with pearl clearcoat, this set copper polished by Vivek Baid from Baid Polishing... Will post pics as soon as they arrive and installed...

I've been meaning to copper-plate the CCW SP500 I have. To protect the finish, they will be powder-coated clear.

nice! are you going to have to continuously polish them with brasso or something to keep them fresh, or will it hold?

I hope they clear coated them to seal them from the elements, or they will get dull really fast

That would also look killer on a black car with persimmon interior.

Nice work!
