don't forget to grab some thrust washers from swift too before you start taking stuff apart

solves the popping issue upon compression

i only had the noise from the rear, so one pair was enough. can do front and rear if you want to be safe

Working on it guys. I had to come back to this thread to get the measurements for the front struts. I just swapped out to Swift springs.

Well, I got the front struts ready to go. I had to stop working on the car due to other things needing to be done around the house. I am wondering if I will have enough time to install everything tomorrow and have it ready to go Monday. Dang it, I may have to wait for the complete install until next weekend.

did u get those thrust washers from swift? made a massive difference, completely eliminated clunk on compression (swift + aragosta + spl midlinks)

i didn't need them in front, just in the rear. Fronts are pretty quiet without them

I didn't even have to ask for them. Josh at Kamispeed hooked me up. They were in the box with the midlinks.

Done!!!! Time for an alignment. The only issue I had was with the Rear midlinks. I am just about out of adjustment to go down. I used a 7in. spring. If you want to go real low a 6' spring will be a must. When I first adjusted the rear spring height it was a sight. I had it in the middle of the adjustment. My car looked like a 70's throw back with air shocks on the rear.... LOL Her butt was in the air. The ride is actually softer compared to the Nismo suspension. I am at 14 clicks out of 26 for the front and 12 clicks out of 24 for the rear. I may need one more click for the rear. Hotchkis front sway bar is on also along with all of my SPL parts. Upper control arms, rear camber arms, Midlinks, and front/rear sway bar end links. I am going to drive her for a couple of weeks, then schedule it to be corner balanced.

i dunno why anyone would go with a 7 inch spring, send that **** back

monster truck stuff

Charles at powertrix was saying the 6 inch is best for virtually any set up

the midlinks have height adjustment on top of whatever coilovers give

Read the Midlink thread. Big discussion on what spring to use. I am good with a 7in spring. I do not want to be but just a little bit below stock. If I go with a stiffer spring I will change it out to a 6in.

Alignment is done. I only have one issue. I didn't get the passenger rear top spring perch set correctly. Under load the spring is not straight up and down. This is causing some occasional spring noise. I will get it squared away next weekend.

i've seen that thread

i think its insane to want to be that high, this is a damn sports car

with double adjustable coilovers travel shouldn't be an issue

He is running big a$$ tires front and rear...and doesn't need any drop at all. Pretty much every coil over will drop you an inch at full height of the coil over adjustability. Like he said, he change them out if he doesn't like them.
