When I had it flush in the fender well, it was very uneven in front. I just measured it, and it's an inch longer on one side (towards the tire). I think it was poor quality control. It looks like the aluminum was hand cut because the cuts are not very straight.

The more I look at it and try to line it up, the more I think I maybe wasting my time. At this point, I'll either hack in to it to try and make it fit, or return it.

Sorry you are having fitment issues. Yes, all our skid plates / splitters are hand fabricated to allow for customization to any lip/bumper at an affordable price point. Specifically with the Amuse splitters - we cut them long as the vast majority have mounted them sticking out. That said, if yours is uneven; we will make it right. I will respond to you via PM |

In the attached pic, you can see where it's not symmetrical and cut wrong.
The right side that goes back to the fender well is 1" longer. The same side is also narrower than the left side so when you try to align, it sticks out on one side. Also, if you look at the top (which would be the front) where the notches are, they are a different width. This all makes it difficult to align correctly. I think I may try again to mount and make some marks and use my snips to get it symmetrical where it'll look good. Very frustrating |

No problem; and as I mentioned via PM, you are welcome to send me an exact trace of what you would like and I will fabricate a replacement to your spec. |

After a bout 2 hours, I was able make this work. Attached are some pics. I'm not sure what happened during production, but when squared, in the first pic you can see what I had to work with. It was cut wrong and took some time and trimming here and there to make fit correctly. The other 2 pics show the finished product. It's attached with 3M tape and about a dozen self-tapping screws. I don't think it's going anywhere. This is my review:
Product/Idea: 10 Quality of Material: 10 Customer Service: 10++ Finished Product: 10 Expecting Plug & Play (need better template): 5 I really like the finished product and the exceptional customer service, before, during and after the sale. They really went out of their way to insure I was happy. My only gripe, was that I was expecting something more plug & play where I could just mount with 3M & some self-tapping screws and call it a day. I took a bit more than that. In the end, I'm pleased with this product and DO recommend... Last edited by pfdaxe; 09-01-2014 at 09:49 AM. |

Thanks for the honest review Paul. As with any new product/service there is always room for improvement - and I appreciate you pointing out how we can do better. As a small company, the buck stops with me and the good thing is that I can make changes that take effect ASAP. These skid plates/splitters have a pretty personal element in terms of the desired function/look and how they are mounted. We will be more diligent in evaluating this from customers before fabricating the pieces going forward, as well as monitoring quality of the cuts. Cheers |
