Look sweet, price is good, but how much do they weigh?

The Baller and Classic knobs are 187g which is slightly less than half a pound and the Competition knob is 162g which is more than 1/3 lb. All are more than 35% heavier than comparable Nismo and Tomei shift knobs.

I chose the setup shown above... Baller Knob with type 3 finisher in black.

I am very pleased with the build quality and aesthetics of this combination.

At first it felt light, yet accurate, compared to my Blox 490 spherical shift knob. But after a day or so the Blox feels like it is overkill and the Z1 knob is "just right". Shifts are easy to orchestrate and it feels very natural to hold. It has been cold here lately and I can say it is even nice to operate with gloves on.

Some other bonuses are the finisher keeps the shift boot securely in place.. It would rattle at high RPM with the Blox knob. And it is wife approved®. She loves the way it looks compared to stock / blox setup. She says it matches the rest of the interior but does not look stock.

This knob and fastener are top quality and everyone who sees it can't wait to get their hands on my knob...

When she sees this knob, she will be even more disappointed with mine. We have to manage expectations.

Nice work, however.

will these fit after market shifters

Riptide67 01-10-2014 09:52 PM

Will the collars work with other shift knobs?

The thread pitch on after market shifters should be the same as OEM and the same applies to shift knobs, so yes.

Yes, as long as the shift knob isn't to long
