Status Racing Releases New Carbon Options
 

Well its about time someone came up with an alternative to the same old gelcoat over a carbon or kevlar weave and it seems Status Racing is the first to stumble onto something great!

Preparing for the Eibach event this month and starting the cycle of all nighters to do so, one of the sales guys on our team called upon Status Racing for a carbon GT-X ICON Seat set for his ITR. A bit of research and ideas were exchanged to lock down the new "Wasp Weave" for the carbon backing to match the rest of the very custom seat options including alternating bolster and insert materials, thread colors, stitch pattern, and logo type.

Shortly after we saw the sneak peek of our home brewed ideas, we saw that Status Racing has offered a colored carbon back for another client!

This looks expensive....

I won't say how much it is because Status now has a seat builder which is great, can see color, options, stitching, etc and then purchase directly and see pricing. I will say though the carbon wasp option is less than I expected.

I've talked price point with Status as well and they've brought up a real valid point, think of any of seat manufacturer in the industry that offers the same custom options from thread color to Carbon fiber weave and they will match that price. Unfortunately I cannot think of anyone that offers anything close to the amount of options available.
