is a backing plate really necessary? or just more of a option...? just kinda think itd look better without it

Sorry if this has already been covered in this thread, but what sort of backing do these things have to stick? Is it the same hi-bond sealant the Z store uses on theirs?

NM just saw it's the same 3M sealant that I used on my last car. Will probably supplement but that works.

I've held the new emblems up against the burgers on the car and it appears to be a perfect fitment.
