Z1 Motorsports now offers both the Fairlady Z Rear Emblem from the JSPEC 370Z as well as the clear JDM Tail Lights.

Both pieces are very simple to install and give the 370Z's already impressive appearance a unique look.

So they are just clear covers basically? Sorry i am really dense with this stuff.

Not at all...they are full replacement tail light assmbly. They come as a complete unit.

I guess the only real difference between the two would be the clear lense, colored LEDs and new reflectors.

anyway to get a hold of these without spending close to $700???

Unfortunately not, hopefully the price of these will come down as time goes on and these cars are on the market.

Do the tail lights meet DOT requirements?

As a matter of fact there has been a price update on these about a week ago that came across my desk.

The tail lights have been marked down to $680 + shipping for the set.

As for DOT compliance. I am not aware of any certifications for these lights. I have reviewed the NHTSA regulations on these tail lights, and since they were not intended for sale in the US market. They were not certified or reviewed by the DOT. However, as far as the regulations go for the proper brake light operation and indication, they DO meet the requirements laid out there.
