Hope you get this figured out Baer.

It's baffling to me because I don't have any issues with mine. I immediately closed the hood and looked for gaps after installation, and all was good.

Could it just be manufacturing tolerances associated with a mass-produced car?

I've got nothing but good things to say about the Z! guys.

Good luck and keep us posted please.

Yeah it took awhile b/c the shocks are painted so they can't touch ,I heated up the plastic covers and bend them down then shot compressed air on them to cool them to stay in shape.

All is good thanks again

Installed these a week or so back. No noticable bulges or gaps. It took about thirty minutes, including beer breaks.

Default Install Guide

Update: INSTALL GUIDE LINK

Install guide created to help make installing these hood struts easier than ever.

John and I installed a set on Don's car in about 30 mins including videoing the process and stopping for pictures.
Hopefully with this install guide everyone else can do it even faster.

Unfortunately that Plenum has been discontinued for the time being by Kinetix. We have that exact plenum on the shelf and are willing to sell it, but I will warn you. They are not cheap. PM me if you are interested and we can discuss it.
