Powder coated will be better against corrosion, We have had these on 300zx's, 350z's G35's ect for years with no PC and no issues, Just wipe them down with spray wax or something similar when you change your oil.

Ok...have a legitimate question and wanted to find out this before I think about buying one. What exactly is the major benefit of replacing the manufacturer's plastic (lighter) shroud ? I get that it may protect the oil pan better, but unless you are driving over rubble all the time or taking your car out 4 wheeling what would be the reason to swap it out ? Just playing devil's advocate on this as I was thinking about getting one but kept asking myself "why?".

This will last virtually forever. Wont fall off or sag. You can change the oil and filter without removing the entire shield with the built in access door. Offers better cooling to the oil pan, we all know the 370z needs anything it can get to help it cool better. Offers better heat escape from the engine bay. Aluminum will dissipate heat better out of the engine bay. Better protects the oil pan from damage at the track or on the street as it sits directly in harms way of any road debris esp with a oil pan spacer. I have more reasons but can't think of them right now

Ok...I wasn't aware the price of replacement or the fact that there really was benefit of this helping with cooling at all, makes sense and I thank you for clarifying.

Most people use these as a much better replacement when their OE plastic one is falling off or they see it behind them going down the interstate. As they are pretty close to the replacement cost for the regular OEM piece on the non-nismo models, it's kind of a no brainer.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back on here. But last other weekend we installed one on my Nismo. Everything fit up just the way it should. This is a top quaility product. You can tell just by looking at it that alot of time went into making it. Thanks again Joe for letting my car be your test fit subject.

Here are a few pictures of the final version of the 2009-2012 Nismo 370Z under pan, There will be one change on the back side bottom which will increase the rigidity and also allow the use of oil pan spacers and deeper oil pans.
The outside fender pieces are mounted on the wrong side of the middle part in these pictures but will give you a good idea what they will look like. I will get some pics of production pieces in the next few days and also get them on the website with pricing which is going to be in the $400 range. We are also working on integrated brake ducting which is in the works right now. Should have final pieces ready to ship in the next 3-4 days if all goes well. Picture below shows air duct to bring in cool air which will flow air across the oil pan and suction hot air out of the engine compartment and out the back of the shield for cooler under hood temps. Outside fender liner pieces get mounted on top of the center section instead of below as pictured here.
